Dr. Noemi Stadler-Kaulich, founder of the Bolivian agroforestry network "Espacio Compartido en Sistemas Agroforestales", will introduce the audience to basic principals and effects of agroforestry systems. Concrete case studies will be given by presenting projects in various ecosystems, including semi-arid highlands as well as the sub-tropical lowland of Bolivia.
Stadler-Kaulich is a pioneer of introducing agroforestry systems to the semi-arid area of Cochabamba, Bolivia. Since 10 years she experiments with various species and agroforestry systems on her property with impressing results.
